Overview of Health Screening

  1. Subject of Health Screening and Operation Period
    1. A. General Screening
      1. ① Employee subscriber and regional insurance subscribe who is a regional householder, biannual(Annual for non-office workers)
      2. ② Employee subscriber’s dependent and household member(40 years or older), Biannual
      3. ③ Medical Aid Beneficiaries. Biannual
        (householder whose age 19~64 and family member age 40~64
        ※ those who are at the age of 66 or above receive an examination in the transition period of medical cares
        ※ those who are suspected in general screening as high blood pressure or diabetes will be taken final diagnosis test)
    2. B. Cancer Checkup
      1. ① Stomach Cancer: Persons at the age of 40 years or above.
      2. ② Liver Cancer: Persons at the age of 40 or above (once in half year)
        Those who are at the age of 40 or older and belong to high risk group of liver cancer in insurance benefit details for 2 years
        Those who are at the age of 40 or above and have a positive reaction to HCV Antibody or HBs antigen test in the last two years
      3. ③ Colorectal cancer: Persons at the age of 50 or above, (annual)
      4. ④ Breast cancer: Female persons at the age of 40 or above. (biannual)
      5. ⑤ Cervical cancer: Woman aged 20 or above (biannual)
    3. C. Infant / children health screening
      1. The subjects are infants who are at least a full four months and less than six moths, the number of the checkups is 10(General checkup7 times, oral checkup 3 times)(Including the medical salary receivers)
      2. - First(4~6months), second(9~12months), third(18~24months), fourth(30~36months), fifth(42~48months), sixth(54~60month), seventh(66~71month)
  2. Health screening items
    1. A. General screening
      1. Interview examination, posture test, breast radiography, blood test, uroscopy, oral examination, and providing result of health risk evaluation
        ※ those who are suspected in general examination as high blood pressure or diabetes will be taken to final diagnosis test
    2. B. Cancer screening
      1. Liver cancer, Stomach cancer, colorectal cancer, breast cancer, cervical cancer
    3. C. Infant / children health screening
      1. Items for the screening for each period, but basic examination, body measurement, health education, hearing interview test, sight test, development evaluation, dental and oral exams operated.
  3. Cost coverage
    1. A. General screening : fully covered by NHIS
    2. B. Cancer screening : NHIS(90%), the examinee(10%)
      1. * uterine, colorectal cancer… NHIS covers the entire costs
    3. C. Infant / children health screening : fully covered by NHIS
  4. Method and Process
    1. A. Carry the health checkup beneficiary sign, sent by the corporation, and identification card, and visit the desired checkup institution, Health checkup operation.
    2. B. Group or individual checkup for employee subscribers following the plan of each employer(company)
  5. Checkup Result Notification
    1. Notification of the checkup result from the institution to the subscriber in fifteen days from the completion of the checkkup.
      1. * In case of baby/infant health checkup and oral checkup, immediate notification of the result.
